Frequently asked questions

Short, practical answers about how FlipLens works and what the signals mean.

FlipLens is a market intelligence tool for UK resellers and flippers. It turns messy live listings into pricing tiers, ROI estimates, and demand signals so you can make faster buy/sell decisions.

FlipLens currently focuses on popular resale platforms such as eBay UK, Vinted, Depop, Etsy UK and Facebook Marketplace. The exact list may evolve over time as the app develops.

FlipLens analyses comparable live listings using a price integrity layer that filters out obvious outliers, mismatched variants and bundles. From there it builds a valuation band and suggests Fast / Market / Premium tiers based on where most real-world prices sit and how strong demand looks.

Confidence drops when the data is thin or messy — for example when there are very few eligible listings, lots of accessory bundles, or prices are spread across a wide range. FlipLens will usually highlight this with data quality messages so you know to be more cautious.

They are simple pricing strategies built from the same underlying data:

  • Fast — more competitive pricing to move inventory quickly.
  • Market — a balanced price that roughly matches typical sold listings.
  • Premium — a slower, higher-margin price that assumes strong demand or excellent condition.

No. FlipLens provides pricing guidance and risk signals, but it cannot guarantee that an item will sell or that any specific ROI will be achieved. You remain responsible for each buying and selling decision.

Fees depend on the platform, payment method and category. FlipLens uses fee models for each platform to estimate selling costs and show net profit and ROI, but your actual fees may differ slightly. Always sanity-check unusual results.

Some searches naturally pull in a mix of generations, bundles, broken items or accessories. In these cases FlipLens may flag “mixed” or “poor” data quality and lower the confidence score. Tightening your keyword (for example adding storage, model year or colour) usually helps.

Each plan includes a daily allowance of scans and Market Intelligence reports. FlipLens won't deduct a scan for clearly unusable or cached results, but you should still treat limits as a scarce resource and avoid hammering the same keyword repeatedly.

You can manage your plan from inside the app using the Upgrade and billing options. Upgrades normally take effect straight away; downgrades and cancellations usually apply at the end of your current billing period, depending on how your payment provider is configured.
