Terms and Conditions

Last updated: April 2026. Plain-language terms for using FlipLens.

Quick summary

  • FlipLens gives pricing guidance and estimates based on live market data. It does not guarantee profit.
  • You are responsible for your buying and selling decisions and must follow marketplace rules and applicable law.
  • FlipLens is currently in beta. Features may change, break, or be removed as the product develops.

1. Who we are

FlipLens is the trading name of [Jamie Blanthorn], operating from the United Kingdom.

In these Terms, “we”, “us” and “FlipLens” refer to this entity. “You” means anyone who creates an account or uses the service.

2. Who these terms apply to

These Terms apply to anyone who creates an account or uses FlipLens, including free plans. By using the service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into agreements under UK law.

3. Acceptable use

  • Use FlipLens only for lawful resale and pricing research in accordance with UK law and the rules of each marketplace you use.
  • Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or commercially resell FlipLens as a service.
  • Do not try to overload, interrupt, or bypass security on FlipLens or its infrastructure.
  • Keep your login details private; you are responsible for activity under your account.

4. Estimates, accuracy and limitations

FlipLens provides estimates and guidance only. Pricing, fee, profit and ROI figures are derived from analysis of comparable listings and other inputs. Markets move quickly and we cannot promise that the numbers you see are complete, current, or correct for your exact item.

  • You should always check condition, variant, region, and timing before relying on any estimate.
  • Data quality warnings (for example for low comparables or contamination) are best-effort indicators, not guarantees.
  • Model outputs, including Market Intelligence text, are suggestions only and may contain inaccuracies.

5. No guarantee of profit or sale

Reselling is inherently risky. FlipLens does not guarantee that any item will sell, that you will make a profit, or that your return on investment will match the figures shown in the app.

  • You remain solely responsible for each buying, pricing and selling decision.
  • You should never buy inventory you cannot afford to lose.

6. Plans, billing and renewal

FlipLens offers free and paid subscription plans. Key billing terms:

  • Plan details — each plan’s features, scan limits and price are shown in the app before you subscribe.
  • Payment — paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe. You authorise recurring charges when you subscribe.
  • Renewal — paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly) at the price shown when you subscribed, unless we notify you of a change in advance.
  • Price changes — if we change the price of a plan, the new price applies from your next renewal after we give you reasonable notice. You can cancel before the new price takes effect.
  • Free trials and promotions — any free trials or promotions are time-limited and may be withdrawn or changed.
  • Platform fees in calculations — selling-platform fees used in profit estimates are estimates only based on public information and may not match your actual fees.

7. Cancellation and refunds

  • How to cancel — you can cancel your paid plan at any time from the billing section inside the app, or by contacting support@fliplens.co.uk.
  • Effect of cancellation — cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep access to paid features until then.
  • Cooling-off period — if you are a UK consumer, you have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days of subscribing for a refund. If you have actively used the service during that period, we may deduct a proportionate amount for the service already provided. To exercise this right, contact support@fliplens.co.uk within 14 days.
  • Other refunds — outside the cooling-off period, refunds are not offered as standard but we will consider requests on a case-by-case basis if something has gone genuinely wrong.

8. Beta status and changes to the service

FlipLens is currently in beta. This means:

  • Features may change, break, or be removed without extensive notice as we develop the product.
  • We may occasionally limit access for maintenance or to protect system stability.
  • We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be published on this page with the date of last update. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

9. Misuse, prohibited items and suspension

You must not use FlipLens to support illegal activity, fraud, money laundering, or the sale of items that are prohibited on marketplaces or under UK law.

  • We may suspend, restrict or close accounts that appear to breach these Terms or applicable law.
  • We may act on reasonable requests from marketplaces or regulators where FlipLens is clearly being misused.

10. Data and privacy

We collect and process limited personal data in order to run FlipLens, such as your account details and scan history. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how long we keep it, your rights under UK data protection law, and how to make a data request.

11. Liability and disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, FlipLens is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every use case.

  • We are not liable for lost profits, lost opportunities, inventory losses, or indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the service.
  • Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.
  • Where liability cannot be excluded, it will be limited to the amount you paid to FlipLens in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or £100, whichever is greater.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be handled by the courts of England and Wales, unless you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK, in which case you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.

For questions about these Terms, contact us at support@fliplens.co.uk.
